| Abstract: |
This is the third phase of research designed to implement pavement frictionmanagement (PFMP) with the goal of minimizing crash-related fatalities andserious injuries. This final-phaseproject will provide the transitional support necessary for a statewidedeployment of the developed safety analysis and treatment recommendationframework as documented in the Phase 1 and 2 reports. Phase 3 will work withthe data collected in Phase 2 in each District and involve: furtherdemonstrating the technology; uploading the data collected to the pavementmanagement system (PMS); training the District personnel on the use of thedata; and developing written guidelines for implementing project-level andnetwork-level CFM. |
