Purpose:

Conduct research on innovative design, maintenance and infrastructure management for highway structures and pavements and related geotechnical applications.  Focus areas include:

  • the design and performance characteristics of bridges and structures
  • the development, implementation, and evaluation of pavement, structures, and maintenance management systems
  • improvements in maintenance strategies, technology, equipment, and operations
  • the assessment of the design characteristics of soils as applied to the construction of bridges and pavements.
