Abstract:	This report describes the placement and early performance of experimental test sections on which No. 8 modified slurry seal and precoated No. 8 chip seal surface treatments were placed. From observations made during the installation and the performance after one year, it is concluded that the No. 8 modified slurry seal treatment has good potential but that use of the No. 8 chip seal treatment is not feasible.
