| Abstract: |
Polymer modified asphalt binders are widely used. The polymer modified binder is accepted on certification. VDOT tests plant samples and storage tanks for the presence of the polymer modifier. However, the frequence of testing is not adequate. A simple test method is needed to allow VDOT to test for the presence of the modifier on a more frequent basis. The project will evaluate a new test method. |
